Hello and welcome to our summer roadtrip blog!
Real quick- The trio, Sam, Brittany, and I decided it'd be fun to blog about our two week western adventure, upload pics and vids, and even start a little early blogging about some of our prepping and research. This way family and friends can throw around ideas for us and once we hit the road everyone can follow us along and see what trouble we've gotten ourselves into. :)
I recently read an article about how blogs have pretty much reached extinction with Twitter, Facebook, and the other social outlets taking rise. Well I say, revival?! Haha, probably not. I do plan on setting up accounts with Twitter and FB so you guys can follow us from all angles. I've already considered that the world does house loonies so I plan on having a day or two delay on these posts. (Stalkers, I'm saving you the time. You're welcome.)
A little something about us - The three of us are grads from the University of Illinois Champaign- Urbana. Sam and I met in college, Brittany and I were roommates and also went to high school together. Sam and I have just started our first year as auditors at CPA firms and we're wrapping up our first busy season while Brittany's finishing up her last semester in physical therapy school and she's scheduled to take her boards the day before our trip...we're obviously all in dire need of a getaway. I know, I know... from the looks of our map you guys are probably thinking we'll need a vacation from this vacation. It's okay, I'm already working on that crazy lazy summertime getaway as well.
Realistically, the map below isn't possible with two weeks being too much of a time constraint for all the sightseeing we want to do...but we're trying to go big on this one. We'll see what happens. My guess is we'll have to scrap Colorado, my favorite state. That's okay, that just means I'll have no choice but to make a winter trip out there to ski in Breckenridge. (Sidenote: Sad, I know nothing outside of skiing Wisco hills.)
Anyway, we've started this Bucket List. We have no expectations to get through all of these items. Just..MOST. Right now, like the map, they're very tentative.
